Will conference sessions be virtual?
All conference sessions will be live (in-person).
Will the conference have any networking opportunities?
Yes, the conference has several networking opportunities. These include a young professionals networking opportunity and a Meet the Experts session. Refer to the special events page for more details as they become available.

REGISTRATION & HOTEL
What are the registration rates?
Registration rates vary by registration type (i.e., ASDTA Member, CDC and Federal Government, General, and Student) and when you purchase registration. View the registration page for a full listing of rates.
What is included with registration? Will any meals be provided?
Registration Includes
- Admission to all scientific sessions
- Admission to the exhibition hall and poster viewing
- Congress materials
- Use of the meeting app
- Breakfast on September 17-19, 2024
- A limited quantity of lunches will be provided to attendees that attend sponsored sessions.
Will I be able to register onsite?
Yes, onsite registration is available.
What hotel can I book through the STI Prevention Conference?
The conference will take place at the Hilton in Downtown Atlanta. There is limited room availability. Book your reservation through the link on the hotel page.
What is the STI Prevention Conference cancellation and refund policy for registration?
ALL canceled registrations are subject to a $75 processing fee. Cancellations received before or on September 1, 2024 will be refunded, less a $75 processing fee. No refund will be granted for cancellations received after September 1, 2024. We regret that refunds will not be granted for “No-shows”. If we have not received payment or proof of purchase order by September 1 , 2024, your registration will be cancelled and you will be required to register at the current rate (which could include the onsite registration rate).
What is the deadline to register for the 2024 STI Prevention Conference?
Early bird registration closes April 15, 2024. Regular registration runs from April 16 to August 15, 2024. Late registration runs from August 16 to September 15, 2024. Registration prices increase for regular, late, and onsite registration. On-site rates will apply from September 16-19, 2024.
Can I modify my registration or add the Aquarium Dinner to an existing registration?
You will receive a confirmation email after you register, please check your spam if you do not see it. There is a link that says “You can download a copy of your invoice and make changes to your registration record, including adding the Gala, by going to:…”. From there, you will be able to pay for an existing registration, modify your registration, add the Aquarium Dinner to your registration, and download an invoice.

What hours is the registration and help desk open?

Where is the registration and help desk located?
The registration and help desk is located on the second floor of the conference center by Salon East and Salon West. See the hotel map in the conference app for more details.
How do you download the conference app?
An email was sent to all registered conference attendees on September 14th with a link and login information to access the app. Please check your spam if you cannot locate the email. You can also follow the instructions below.
- Eventscribe app is available in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

- Login using the email used at registration. If you do not know your access key, click forgot password
- If you have any trouble, assistance will be available at registration
Will presenter slides be available to attendees?
If a presenter has agreed to share their slides, their slides will be available in the conference app and in the online portal 5 minutes before their session begins. Slides are available for 1 year after the conference. To access the slides, you must be logged in.
Is Wi-Fi available at the conference?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the conference rooms. The Wi-Fi code is found in the conference app and on signage at the registration desk.
Will there be a nursing lounge/lactation room?
Yes, a nursing lounge/lactation room will be available at the conference. Please see registration desk staff for more details and room access.
Does the STI Prevention Conference offer childcare for attendees?
No, the STI Prevention Conference does not currently offer childcare for attendees.
Are there gender-neutral bathrooms at the conference? Where are they located?
Gender-neutral bathrooms are available to conference attendees. They are located in the Galleria and on the third floor. Signage for the bathrooms is posted by their locations.
How warm/cold will the conference session rooms be?
All conference sessions rooms will be set to 70°F (21°C). Remember to bring a shawl, blanket, or jacket if you are likely to be cold. Keep in mind that sessions with a lot of attendees may feel warmer than those with fewer attendees.

Will continuing education be offered?
Yes, CE will be offered for select sessions and is available for a limited time following the conference. Please visit the CE page for additional details.

Do I need to register to present my abstract?
Yes, all presenting authors will be required to register for the Conference by September 2, 2024, after having received their provisional notification of acceptance, to attend the conference and present the abstract. If a presenting author is not registered by the above date, the Scientific Committee will remove the abstract from the program unless a co-author who will be attending the conference can present on behalf of presenting author.
For abstracts presented at the conference, who has copyright ownership?
Upon submitting an abstract for the conference, all authors agreed to release the license to the conference organizers and give permission to publish the abstract in a journal and on the website, certifying that the abstract is original work. The presenting author was required to ensure that all co-authors were aware of the content of the abstracts before submission.

When do posters need to be removed from the poster hall?
Poster presenters are asked to remove their poster at the end of the Wednesday evening poster session. Any posters left on their boards after 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 18 will be discarded. Poster set up and take down is the sole responsibility of the presenter. If assistance is required, please visit the registration desk.
