Convened under the theme Forward Together: Uniting Science, Community, and Care for STI Prevention, the conference reflects both the urgency of the moment and a firm belief that progress remains within reach when we act collectively
Unlike prior conferences, the 2026 meeting is intentionally designed for a shifting landscape marked by shrinking public funding, terminated research grants, workforce shortages, and policies that restrict access to care. Centering collaboration across research, public health, community leadership, and clinical care, this action-oriented conference serves as both a call to unity and a platform for collective leadership—reaffirming that lasting progress depends on aligning science, community, and care, and moving forward together.
